The tropical vegetation, the numerous beaches and the varied landscape makes Cairns an extraordinary city. It is an eldorado for scubadiving and snorkelling with the Great Barrier Reef at your feet. Cairns is an ideal starting point for excursions, and has therefore become very popular with the tourists. It has managed to preserve the charm of a small city, and the people are very friendly.
